I love being able to tuck this stereo under one arm, and move it from room to room. Lighter and smaller then a boombox, even my frail and elderly mother can manage it.

I have been a fan of Teac speakers for years, but never liked all the wires and space required for stereos. This little beauty has such sweet sound quality for its size, that I cannot bring myself to call it a "clock radio" at all. Perfect for an apartment, if you don't feel the need to share your music with your neighbors; not enough power for those who like to "crank it way up" and shake the walls.

The remote makes sense, there is both a pause and mute button, and Teac included batteries.

I could have bought a mini-stereo or boombox with "bigger" sound for less money, but am glad I chose the smaller, more elegant stereo for $150.00.

I like every thing about my TEAC except I usually have to smack the unit to get the speakers to work with the radio. Been like that since day 1, and is getting worse. Maybe its a reception problem because it sounds great with my touch and cd's. Charges the touch in no time. I'd recommend it - my problem is probably unique.

After doing my homework and reading customer reviews, it seemed like this was a great choice for good sound and quality. I have had it about a week and have played CD's several times. Yesterday (my Christmas party) it would not play CD's. Called Teac today, they suggest sending it in for repair. The repair shop they recommended in my area is no longer in business. Very disappointing and frustrating. The item is also out of stock, so I can't even re-order. Guess that's a sign to be done with Teac products for good. What a hassle. Amazon was a great help with return instructions, as usual.

I bought this great sounding clock radio about six months ago. Before I bought it I found out that you need a flash light if you like to see the time in the middle of the night. But, I like d it so much that I didn't care about that. So far, so good. That was until the whole thing went dead. It just stopped working. Any way, there is a repair shop about 20 minutes away from me. I thought no big deal, it's under warranty. The only thing was that they would not work on it because it was a "small" item. To make a long story short I had to ship it to California and pay the $20 myself. To me that was not fair because the local repair shop would not repair it.

I bought this to use in the nursery since I love having music on when I'm in there. I wanted something with a clock and a sleep timer, and wasn't concerned about other reviews saying you can't see the display at night when it is off. Now having it for a couple months, it is a little annoying to not be able to see the time when it is off, but I believe the instructions say the display light will briefly go on when you press the snooze button. It is in a dark area of the room, so I can't see the display during the day unless I'm a foot from it. When on, the display is so bright I don't think I could sleep with it, but it works perfectly for some light while nursing at night. The sound quality is a huge upgrade from the clock radio I was using, but I guess I was expecting better after some of the rave reviews. Another annoyance is when we leave the IPOD on it, after using the radio a few times, it can't tell the IPOD is connected so I have to take it off and back on before it realizes it is on there. Just a minor annoyance that makes me worry it will completely stop working one of these days.

I wanted something I could keep in the kitchen that would offer me my ipod music, a CD player, and an AM/FM radio, and charge my Ipod as well, and I found it. It's fantastic. My ipod nano 5G sits comfortably in the dock even with its case on which is a huge plus for me. If you want music pumping throughout the house this isn't it, but for me to have options of what to listen to while cooking, I'm absolutely thrilled. The remote control makes it convenient for me to switch songs without moving much which again is ideal when I'm moving around the kitchen cooking. It's also small so it sits nicely and inconspicuously on my kitchen counter and despite not having tons of counter space, it doesn't feel like I have any less space than before. I'm thrilled with the purchase and anyone who wants the features I wanted should definitely buy this product.

I am happy with all the functions of this unit except that when you put it in standby mode, which it has to be in for the alarm to work, the clock display goes dark. There is no way to see the time if you wake in the night. I called TEAC to ask if there was a way around this and the tech said "No we had so many complaints about the display being too bright that we disabled it completely". Nice way to improve a product. Oh well the sound is great and it's nice to wake to my own music. I guess I will just have to wear my watch to bed!

My wife and I purchased this product in June for our nursery. Our son was due in early September so we would have plenty of time to get familiar with it.
The product came and worked fine...twice. We set it up, played a cd and all was good. Several weeks later we decided to listen to it again and it didn't work. No power, no nothing.
It was over thirty days, so the online dealer would not accept a return or replacement. Terrible!
I called TEAC and they told me about an authorized dealer to take it to to have it fixed. I immediately drove it to the guy. This was at the end of June. He said he would have to send it in to TEAC to have it fixed. Well today is October 9th. Guess what...I still do not have it back. My son was born a month ago and we do not have a music machine in his room thanks to this piece of garbage.
I would discourage anyone from purchasing TEAC equipment as it is faulty and they are unwilling to help make things right. I don't think I will ever see this machine again or my $150.00.
I will never buy a TEAC product again.

Update- November 29th, 2009, still no machine from the repair guy. He doesn't seem to know what;s going on with it.
