Trivia
Atsushi Nagashima, the game director of the TCG, stated the pairing of Slowpoke and Psyduck had been considered since the inital concept of TAG TEAM cards.[1] This would have been during the Black & White Series.[2] Mitsuhiro Arita, the illustrator of the card's Regular print, was intrigued by the idea of a powerful card based on unassuming Pokémon, and described the artwork as evoking a beach ball.[3]
Origin
The Special Full Art print has a Shellder biting Psyduck's tail. This calls back to the episode The Evolution Solution.[4]
