From age 12 Julia felt a call to the religious life; her family did not approve. Joined the Holy Cross Sisters at age 19; she was with them for 33 years. Founded the Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate on the Feast of the Assumption in 1920. Wrote several books. The Visitors serve in Nigeria, the Philippines and the United States, visiting door to door in their parishes, evangelizing and catechizing. Her Cause for Canonization has opened.
