Greenville, TX – A City on the Rise
Greenville, TX continues to boom in growth as new businesses are set to open in the next few months.
A new campus for Primary Care Associates should be completed in the next few months. The facility will be located at at the intersection of Monty Stratton and I-30 West.
The walls are up for the new Panera Bread Company near Academy Sports. And a new Taco Cabana fast food establishment is also underway near Home Depot.
Greenville is not only growing in economic development, but also in people. In 2000 the population of Greenville was 23,960 and the projected growth in 2015 was an increase of 3,270 people. The county seat is also experiencing a boom in population with a growth of 12,225 additional people from 2000 to 2015. Projections are not in for 2017 as of yet.
Greenville is definitely a city to watch in the next few years as more and more business, families and industries plant their roots in the city. Of course with growth comes better choices for residents when dining and shopping, but it also comes with more traffic, possible increase in crime and sometimes unaffordable housing.
