Vijay Namdevrao Wadettiwar is an Indian politician from the state of Maharashtra and a former Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.^[1]^[2] He is a member of Indian National Congress and a member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly representing Bramhapuri constituency.^[3]^[4]^[5]

1980-1981: Started political career as a grass root level worker with NSUI
1991-1993: Member of Zilla Parishad, Gadchiroli
2010-2011: Chairman- District Central Co-Operative Bank, Chandrapur

1998-2004: MLC from Gadchiroli-Wardha-Chandrapur.

2008-2009: Minister of State for Irrigation, Tribal Welfare, Environment and Forest, in the Minister of Council headed by Ashok Chavan
