Aly Goni (born 25 February 1991) is an Indian television actor and model.His television debut occurred as a contestant on Splitsvilla 5, after which his breakthrough came with the role of Romi Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.He is also known for his role as Raj Kapoor in Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan and Vyom in Naagin 3.

Early life

Aly Goni was born on 25 February 1991 to a Muslim family in Jammu & Kashmir.[4]He is the son of Amjad Goni and Ruby Goni.[5]He has a sister named Ilham Goni.[6]

Career

In 2012, Aly started his career by participating in the reality show MTV Splitsvilla 5.[7] In 2013, he made his acting debut with StarPlus's show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein where he played Romi Bhalla till 2019.[8]

In 2015, he played the main lead in Ekta Kapoor's Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan where he replaced Vibhav Roy[9] and the show went off the air in January 2016 due to low ratings.[10] In 2016, he played the negative role of Kabir Raichand in &TV's Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum.[11] He became presenter for the show Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.[12] He later played Virat in Life OK's Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant.

In 2017, he played Sushant in Dhhai Kilo Prem in a cameo role but later on his role was extended. In 2018, he acted in show Dil Hi Toh Hai. He also played the negative character of Vyom in Naagin 3 .[13] He made his Music Video debut in 2018 with song Cheater Mohan which was sung by Kanika Kapoor.

In 2019, he participated in Colors TV's Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.[14][15] He also appeared in comedy show Khatra Khatra Khatra.[16] Later, He particiapted in Star Plus's dance reality show Nach Baliye where he emerged as one of the finalists.[17][18]He did a music video named Tere Jism 2 in June 2019.[19]

In 2020, He participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India.[20] In November 2020, he entered Colors TV's Bigg Boss 14 as a wild card contestant and was the highest paid contestant of that season.[21]

He made his web series debut with ZEE5's Jeet Ki Zid in January 2021.[22][23]

He did a music video with Tony Kakkar in March 2021[24] and another in April 2021 with Vishal Mishra[25].

Aly was ranked 12th in 2018[26],14th in 2019[27] and 3rd in 2020[28] in the Times Of India's 20 Most Desirable Men on Television.

He was ranked at 22nd position in Times of India's 50 Most Desirable Men of 2020.[29]

Personal life

In 2014, Goni was dating Serbian model Nataša Stanković but the couple reportedly broke up and was invited to participate as an ex-couple in Nach Baliye 9.[30]

He started dating Jasmin Bhasin during Bigg Boss 14 since 2021 .[31][32]
