Adrien Tinashe Thibaut (born 11 July 2004) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for EFL League Two club Crewe Alexandra.[4]

Club career

Born in Slough,[2] Thibaut was raised in Ireland and came through the academies at College Corinthians,[5] Douglas Hall[6] and Cobh Ramblers.[7]

Cobh Ramblers

In February 2023, Thibaut was promoted to the first team at Cobh Ramblers, going onto make his debut as he came on as a substitute and scored in the Munster Senior Cup Final against Cork City on 14 August 2023, which The Rams ended up winning 3–1.[8][9] He would go onto make his league debut eleven days later, as he came on as an 88th–minute substitute for Matthew McKevitt during a 4–1 defeat against Galway United.[10][11] Thibaut would go onto make five more appearances for The Rams, before being released at the end of his contract on 30 November 2023.[12]

Macclesfield

On 1 February 2024, Thibaut moved back to England as he signed for Northern Premier League Premier Division side Macclesfield on a free transfer.[13] He made his only appearance for the club during a 2–0 away win against Hampton & Richmond Borough in the Fifth Round of the FA Trophy,[14] but left on 2 March as he signed for fellow Northern Premier League Premier Division side, Bradford (Park Avenue) on a deal until the end of the season.[15] After making nine appearances for Park Avenue, Thibaut was offered a new deal on 8 May 2024,[16] but opted to leave the club shortly afterwards.[17]

Crewe Alexandra

On 20 August 2024, Thibaut moved into professional league football as he signed for EFL League Two side Crewe Alexandra on a free transfer,[4] and seven days later, he made his senior debut for Crewe during the first Group game in the EFL Trophy, against Liverpool U21's.[3] Thibaut came on as a 72nd minute substitute for Fin Roberts and scored his first goal for the club two minutes later, as the hosts won 5–1 at Gresty Road.[18][19] The following month, on 28 September 2024, Thibaut scored his first league goal for Crewe, in the side's 2–1 defeat at Newport County.[20]

In October 2024, Thibaut signed a new contract running to summer 2026, with an option for a further 12 months.[21][22]

International career

In November 2024, Thibaut received his first call-up for Ireland Under-21s, being named in a 24-man squad for two friendlies against Sweden on 14 and 17 November.[23]
