Ron Wojciak (1943-1966) was a young athlete who grew up in Columbia Heights, Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota where he earned All-Big 10 and All-American honors in baseball. Wojciak helped the Minnesota Golden Gophers win the 1964 College World Series as a catcher[1], before signing with the Minnesota Twins[2]. He was elected into the Gopher Sports Hall of Fame[3]
