:Hi, perhaps the spam message was confusing. If you aren't trying to promote http://www.cropcirclesandmore.com, then adding it wasn't spam. However, that site seems to be a personal blog that doesn't attempt to provide a neutral point of view and lacks editorial oversight that would balance bias. As such, it is not what a reliable source for an encyclopedia article, so I have removed it from Crop circle for that reason instead. - Pointillist (talk) 23:05, 12 April 2011 (UTC) |

The link is to a page that merely shows where the events took place. There are no comments. There are no opinions. Just facts. Tell me: What is the spam part? |

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Crop circle. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Simple Bob a.k.a. - If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Yoy call yourself The Spaminator. This is what you wrote: "Any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a featured article." What that means in practice is that you should imagine how the article would look if it were the very best and most detailed that it could be - and then consider whether the external link that you are adding would actually add further value to the article. The link I added would complete any good article on the subject. It would add very valuable additional info. By your own definition it is NOT spam. 82.74.96.153 (talk) 22:54, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, perhaps the spam message was confusing. - Pointillist (talk) 23:05, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
