The small indoor theatre or Odeon was a theatre commonly used for plays and musical performances. The theatre could hold up to 1000 spectators. A special addition to the performances done here was Mime, which usually was comical and lasted for a short time. Unlike the large theatre the Odeon had a roof made out of wood in order to improve sound.
