Putri Tangguk is Jambi folklore.[1][2]

This Indonesian folklore myth tells about Putri Tangguk and her family life.[1] Putri Tangguk is a mother who have seven kids.[2] Putri Tangguk and her husband is farmer.[1] Putri Tangguk and her husband work hard to fulfill the needs of living.[1] Putri Tangguk realize that she doesn't take care her kids well because she is busy with work.[1] One day, Putri Tangguk tells her husband about her plan.[1] The plan is to make their warehouse full of rice supplies so they don't work to much as long as there is supplies.[1] One time, Putri Tangguk walks with her kids and her husband to rice field.[1] Suddenly, she slipped because the road is slippery after rain.[1] She angry to that road and cursed it.[2] After that they continue the trip to rice fields.[2] When they come back to home, Putri Tangguk and her family walk through the same road.[2] She sow paddy on that road so that road isn't slippery again.[2] Putri Tangguk regret this act after she realize that paddy is important thing.[2] This folklore give a lesson about how important to thankful for what we have.[1]
