John Manuel Regala Francisco (born May 28, 1965) is a Filipino character actor and an action star. better known by his screen name as John Regala. he portrayed his role as a main villain of the Philippine movies and television series and pretending as a "Bad Boy" of Philippine action films even the two action stars like Robin Padilla and the late Ace Vergel. He is the son of former character actor Mel Francisco and former actress Ruby Regala.

Career

Regala enters for showbusiness and became as a group member of Philippine TV show of the mid 80s That's Entertainment.

ER Ejercito for 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival in a returning of Filipino action movie Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story (2011) while Regala won for Best supporting actor. then he willing to work with JC de Vera and Oyo Sotto for a TV drama series Valiente of TV5 (2012). then he works for TV drama series with Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador in Ina, Kapatid, Anak (2013) and then he works again with Coco Martin in an action-fantasy drama TV series Juan dela Cruz of ABS-CBN (2013).

Personal life

Regala was born in Manila to his retired showbiz parents Mel Francisco and Ruby Regala.

He has been stopped on showbiz because he was taken up drugs. then he became matured of his life from his rehabilitated for taken up drugs. he converted to become as a Born Again Christian but now as a Christian minister.

Regala is now married with non-showbiz wife with three children. his wife is always a Born Again Christian also and they would trying to help them for the victims of drug abusing.
