Template:NASCAR Owner Infobox Competitive Edge Motorsports is a former NASCAR Nextel Cup Series team. It fieldes the #51 Marathon Oil Chevrolet for driver Mike Garvey. Its principal owner is former NFL player Joe Auer. It debuted at the 2004 Coca-Cola 600 with Kevin Lepage driving, finishing 43rd after suffering overheating faliures. After running four more races with Lepage, all resulting in DNF's, Tony Raines took over the driving duties, his best finish being 28th at Dover. In 2005, ARCA racer Stuart Kirby began driving, qualifying for three races thus far, posting a best finish of 31st. The team had plans to go full-time in 2007 with Mike Garvey, but extra sponsorship is still needed. Sources from jayski have comfirmed that the Competitive Edge Motorsports will be ceasing operations and the sponosor will go to Petty Enterprises source.
