Biography

Brewer was born 1983 in Tokyo, Japan.[1][2] Currently, she resides and maintains her practice in Vancouver, British Columbia[2]. In 2007, Brewer graduated from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts. In 2012, Brewer received her Masters of Fine Art at Bard College in upstate New York, USA.

Career

Brewer is a multi-disciplinary artist who works through processes of painting, textiles and printmaking[2]. Her work has exhibited in both solo and group shows including:

Awards

Brewer was the recipient of a 25,000 CAD award, placing first in the 13th annual RBC Canadian Painting Competition.[9] The title of the winning work by Brewer was 'Beuys painting', Oil on panel, 42 x 47 inches (2010).
