Te Kaha is a small New Zealand community situated in the Bay of Plenty near Opotiki. It has a population of about 387, up from 306 in 2006. Approximately 85% of whom are of Māori descent.
The local population consist of the predominant iwi of the area known to be Te-Whānau-Ā-Apanui. There are four marae in the area as the following: Waiōrore; Tūkāki; Maungaroa; Pāhaoa. Te Kaha is a little outpost that contains a couple of dairies and the Te Kaha resort. The full name of The Kaha is Te-Kahanui-A-Tikirākau.

- Corporal Willie Apiata, recipient of the New Zealand Victoria Cross, awarded on 2 July 2007
- Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa Ngarimu, recipient of the VC, awarded posthumously in October 1943
