Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests

If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

To list a technical request: edit the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

Looking over the two articles, I find myself thinking that the best solution might be to have a single Saiyuki Gaiden article that discusses both the manga and the OVA. To that end, my suggestion would be not to move the existing article, but instead to just merge in content from User:M.A.LasTroniN910/sandbox and make any necessary edits to reflect the updated article scope. Phenolates falls into that (phenol), so I removed it. I'm not sure if vanilloids would fall into that (vanillin being the parent compound), but I lean towards move to vanilloid, since there's no ambiguity here, as if they were called vanillins instead of vanilloids. I object to any of these moves given that it sounds like there's some need for discussion and figuring what's what, and this isn't the place for it. Let's open a thread, or an RM, or an RfC, someplace where the conversation can be stretched out and last for awhile and exist in an archive. If omitting the state from the DAB brackets is 'per naming conventions' could you link to the rule? A perusal of St. John's Cathedral#United States shows that many American churches don't seem to follow this, since they *do* include the state.
