Proposed deletion

[edit]

Technically, a user is entitled to remove proposed deletion from an article for any reason, and if proposed deletion has been contested - even without an explanation - the article should not be proposed for deletion again. That said, I have deleted the article under the criterion A1 - lacking sufficient context to identify the subject of the article. (The articles appear to be elements from some work of fiction, possibly one that the user is writing, in which case criterion A11 would apply.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 04:15, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thanks for the note. Pokéfan95 (talk) 04:19, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Nanjaiah honganuru. I do not think that Nanjaiah honganuru fits any of the speedy deletion criteria  because Being a professor and author of multiple books is a claim of cerdibility. I request that you consider not re-tagging Nanjaiah honganuru for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. Savonneux (talk) 07:39, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

i dont know how edit it: i am delet copied speech and keep not copied information . thanks if you edit and expanf it i am glad u thanks

please delet it {{speedy deletion-copyright violation|url=http://aiscd.org/apdsc.html}}

The sports movement for the deaf in Asia was started by the late Mr. Chou Kuo-tung from Taipei China in 1983, where the first Far Eastern Deaf Football Championship was held with 4 countries namely Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei participating.

The first sporting event in the Asia and Pacific region that was endorsed by the International Committee Sports of the Deaf and recognized by the International Olympic Committee, took place in 1984. The event was the First Asia Pacific Deaf Soccer Championship in Hong Kong.

The Championships were held biennially in Kyoto, Japan (1986) and Melbourne, Australia (1988).

The Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation (APDSC) was formed during the 3rd Asia Pacific Deaf Soccer Championships in Melbourne.

During the 4th Championship in Seoul in 1992, APDSC passed a resolution to change the name from Asia Pacific Deaf Soccer Championships to Asia Pacific Games for the Deaf and changing it from biennial to every four years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarayuna (talkcontribs) 11:15, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Because the copyright infringing content has been removed, the speedy delete template has been removed as well. That article won't be deleted, don't worry. Next time, don't add any copyright infringement content on articles (except if it is public domain). Thanks! Pokéfan95 (talk) 11:24, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Li Shizhen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Qizhou. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Deleting my Edit on USB page

[edit]

Hi Pokefan95. I am writing to let you know that you made a mistake in removing my edit. Please do not just automatically undo edits just because it is made by a new user or there is no change summary. I actually corrected a glaring typo on the page. If you actually check the source reference next to the text that I edited and read the document you will see that the my edit was correct. Also further down the page where it mentions the same terms, it is consistent with my edit and the source material. 110.149.130.48 (talk) 01:50, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, I apologize for reverting your edit. I didn't realize that you corrected a typo. No, I am not discriminating you as a new user. I think I should be improving my WP:AGF and think before reverting an edit. Thanks for leaving me a note. (Note: I actually didn't deleted your edit. I just only undid your edit (which is my mistake). Although it is still possible to delete revisions/edits by administrators, they can't actually be deleted from the database due to licensing. They are just hidden from non-administrators.) Pokéfan95 (talk) 08:57, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on Charged Hong Kong

[edit]

Here's my comment for SwisterTwister on 11 May 2016, which basically answers your comment.

Dear SwisterTwister, thanks for your second rejection and 3rd from Wiki's editor team as it allows me to provide even more references from international coverage of Charged Hong Kong despite the fact that it is a year old. There are now 56 references and they are either critically important to the development of the officially registered charity in Hong Kong or simply highly notable such as Forbes, Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, BBC, International Business Times, etc. Just to name a few. I have also written the article according to the Wikipedia's "guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:The_answer_to_life,_the_universe,_and_everything, which states that "Articles generally require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic." As far as anyone can tell, age of the organisation as the reason you have repeatedly rejected my article on, in this case on Charged Hong Kong as a registered charity doing good things to the world advocating clean air through electric vehicle adaptation, does not appear in any sense as a specific requirement and prerequisite by Wikipedia as a reason for rejection of article submission. What's more, using 'age' of a person, an organisation and particularly for a registered charity to judge its influence to the world is immature and unprofessional. Simply because by naming a minimum age requirement to be worthy of an article on Wikipedia, there will be thousands of counter-examples on Wikipedia. Lx3h (talk) 10:24, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Lx3h: Hello, I still think that the company is too early to have an article. Maybe wait for 2 years? I cannot see solid notablity here. Pokéfan95 (talk) 10:27, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Helsinki City Bikes

[edit]

I beg to differ on your decision to reject the Helsinki City Bikes page. Three other Nordic capital cities, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo have similar bike systems and have pages about them (the pages are in much worse condition than the Helsinki draft, btw). The operator's contract with the city of Helsinki is for 10 years (stated and properly referenced in the draft), and there's independent reporting of the system already being heavily used, after two weeks of opening (also referenced). There's absolutely no reason to believe that the system would be short-lived. Poikkeusreitti (talk) 14:35, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Gauri & Nainika (Fashion Label) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. User talk page blanking

[edit]

Hi. I have reverted this edit, because (with limited exceptions) users are permitted to blank warnings from their talk page, see WP:BLANKING. It is taken to mean that the user has read the warnings, so they cannot afterwards claim that they did not know about them; they are still there in the history, of course. Reverting a user who blanks warnings from his own talk page sometimes starts an edit war, and generally does not improve the situation. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:04, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

2019 US Banknote Contest

[edit]
US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

RfD

[edit]

I'm not sure why you felt it was a good idea to start clerking RfD when you don't have much experience there, but there is a couple things I would like you to look at. The first is WP:RELISTBIAS, which has good a good explanation why non-admins tend to over-relist things and some helpful ways to avoid that. The second is WP:RGUIDE, especially the part that explains that the default result for discussions that only has delete !votes is to delete it. When taking all that into consideration, many of your relists were either unnecessary or should have been actioned by an admin. You seem to like RfD enough to say so on your userpage, so my advise would be to simply participate in discussions there when you feel it necessary, and when you get enough experience to understand the guidelines and customs governing redirects, you would then be experienced enough to close and relist with the nuance that some discussions need. -- Tavix (talk) 13:07, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you close or relist the last open discussion in a log page, it should be removed from the list like this. Thanks, -- Tavix (talk) 13:25, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline. If you believe that your user page does not violate our guideline, please leave a note on this page. Alternatively, you may add {{Db-u1}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's user page guideline. Also see Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#Regarding advocacy by users on the anti-terror bill. Wikipedia is not the right place to show your opposition to the Anti-Terror Bill and promote your cause. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 00:12, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I edited my userpage accordingly. I still want my fellow Wikipedians know about the significance of the anti-terror act. Under that law, it is a crime to possess copies of "terrorist" writings. That's dangerous for Wikipedians who wish to write about controversial topics like the CPP-NPA-NDF under a neutral point of view, which may sometimes require acquiring a copy of their publications like Ang Bayan. pandakekok9 (talk) Junk the Philippine anti-terror law! 01:41, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Also don't forget to revert to your previous signature to remove that clearly political message. I can't find any policy against placing such things on signatures, but better err on the side of caution, and the signature is also too long.
I haven't read the law itself, but better wait what will happen with those controversial articles. Just common sense, it shouldn't be a crime to possess propaganda by terrorist organizations if it's used for educational purposes.--TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 03:13, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You've edited your userpage, but you haven't restored things like user info and userboxes. Better have your advocacy in a subsection, rather than replacing everything with a political message. --TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 03:24, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Liberal Party Headquarters

[edit]

Hello Sir, I removed the headquarters of the liberal party for the meantime as it is no longer situated in there. They transferred their headquarters in Makati and I currently do not have permission to share the address as of the moment. People may still go to the headquarters which may turn to mislead them and not sharing it for the time being may be the best solution. It will be put up next year soon anyway. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ken imperial14 (talkcontribs) 04:19, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ken imperial14: In that case, you should tell the party to update it on their website's contact page. Even Makati alone should be enough. pandakekok9 (talk) 04:43, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
