Spineshank being metalcore? huh? they've always been quite straightforward about being quite heavily influenced by Fear Factory, a nu-metal band and the first album is a little too much like Coal Chamber and Korn to not be Nu-metal.

The first part of the article is an exact copy of allmusic's [1] article on the band Spineshank. Is AMG under free license? Even if it is, this should be corrected, as it looks cheap and unencyclopedic.

I was thinking of adding a section on perhaps lyrical themes, what the lyrics usually are about and stuff. Not too indepth of course, since only Johnny and Tommy (who wrote all the lyrics) really know exactly what it is about. Somebody who gets their music a little better than me perhaps could describe the musical differences between albums, my musical vocabulary is limited. Also, I removed the word "electro-metallists" from the article. that's not a proper genre and seems a litte fuzzy for an encyclopedic description of a band. Feels like calling DNA for information-thingies.

I was wondering who the person was that put the word "douchebags" on the pic of the band. I dont think that was very professional. They were a pretty decent band, I dont see why they should be disrespected so much.

Fixed up page

I tried to fix this page up as much as possible. I wanted to create separate sections for the departure of Jonny Santos, as well as another section for Santos' post-Spineshank projects. I also think that Brandon Espinoza should not be mentioned as an "official member" - simply because nothing with him was ever released, even in the form of a sample MP3. Therefore, it's easier just to say Spineshank broke up in 2004 after Santos left - which is more or less correct anyhow. Oh yeah, and I referenced as much as I could. Genre

I don't really believe that they were ever Nu Metal. People slap that tag on any band that catches any kind of notoriety. Hell, people probably tried to when Lamb of God got a grammy award nomination. The later 2 were more along the lines of industrial and even imo could be metalcore with the use of synths and other sounds, much like Fear Factory (who they're influenced by...), but the first was more like Alternative metal. spineshank is the best

I would say they are industrial metal. I would hesitate to call them nu-metal because they aren't very similar to other nu-metal bands. --BennyD (talk) 15:45, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

its mentioned that the band announced they broke up can anyone confirm this? i have not seen this anywhere else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.238.52 (talk) 21:43, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jon Santos

So I guess the Jon Santos from this band is not the same Jon Santos from Seven_Wiser ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.234.80.72 (talk) 14:36, 25 March 2008 (UTC) \[reply]

No, this Jonny Santos has always gone by 'Jonny'. --Kingoomieiii ♣ Talk 19:04, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
