A tag has been placed on Marshintsy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please take no offence. Basketball110 the pages I've messed up completely 16:02, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sofiarotaruskymeclip.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Sofiarotaruskymeclip.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 18:28, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Extraphone

A tag has been placed on Extraphone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Jameson L. Tai talkcontribs 15:37, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Extraphone

Tagging for speedy deletion does not actually mean the article will be deleted; it alerts other editors that someone believes it should be, and puts the article in a category so that administrators may find them easily and assess whether or not the concerns raised qualify for the article to be speedy deleted. There is no discussion required by those who place tags on talk pages of relevant articles; in this instance, the tagger actually did. For the article in question, the tagging was correct as it met criterion A7 — it was an article about a company that did not assert the notability of the subject. While the article claimed it "is one of the most imortant record labels in the field of show-business", this is not verified and is incredibly subjecive — thus not an assertion of notability. The speedy deletion template links to the criteria for speedy deletion a total of three times. If you did not investigate what that page said yourself, then that is your fault. As the article in the deleted form does not qualify for inclusion, I will not restore it to mainspace. If you would like, I will restore it to a subpage of yours so that you may work on it until it merits inclusion. seresin | wasn't he just...? 23:43, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Glancing through your contributions, I notice that you seem to be creating a profusion of articles. I encourage you to read the notability guideline and the verifiability policy, and take that into account. Many of the things you have created fail one or both of these, and there is a good chance they will be deleted. seresin | wasn't he just...? 23:46, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have restored the article to User:Rubikonchik/Extraphone. Please ensure that the article is in accordance with all our policies before moving it back to the mainspace. As for not doing it before deleting, that is generally not how things are done. If an article meets the speedy deletion criteria, it is speedy deleted. As you have asked me to assume good faith, I must point out that you seem to be lacking in that yourself. I did specify why the article was deleted — I even linked to the criterion in my deletion summary. As for other articles, I will probably not personally delete any of them, because these conversations could be seen as resulting in a conflict of interest. I noted those to you not to intimidate or bully you, but to give you forewarning so that the admin who might delete them will not have to have this same conversation with you. Articles I am referring to are ones such as Fog (album), You Are My Heart (album), Treacherous Men, Soul (film), and Monologue About Love. Artur Music and Chervona Ruta (film) are both speedy deletable, for the same reasons as Extraphone, but I will leave them for now per the abovementioned reasons. seresin | wasn't he just...? 00:40, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Logoextraphone.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Logoextraphone.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:38, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Sofiarotaruchervonaruta1.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 17:53, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

Welcome

Hello, Rubikonchik, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

If you are interested in Ukraine-related themes, you may want to check out the Ukraine Portal, particularly the Portal:Ukraine/New article announcements and Portal:Ukraine/Ukraine-related Wikipedia notice board. The New article announcements board is probably the most important and the most attended one. Please don't forget to announce there the new articles you create. Adding both boards to your watchlist is probably a good idea.

Finally, in case you are interested, similar boards exist at Russia portal as many editors contribute to topics related to both countries. The respective boards there are: Portal:Russia/New article announcements and Portal:Russia/Russia-related Wikipedia notice board. Of course there are also many other portals at Wikipedia or you may just get right into editing.

Again, welcome!--Riurik(discuss) 23:23, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not forget to announce your articles at the notice boards. Thanks for them! --Irpen 23:33, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Stefanovichalexander.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Stefanovichalexander.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Polly (Parrot) 16:55, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, although it's quite extensive, I do not undertand what exactly you mean and what you want me to do. I guess I'm a little dumb.--Rubikonchik (talk) 21:17, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Soul (film)

I think the article is still a "start". Main areas of improvement are english wording and adding further references. I would suggest you appeal for a partner at the "films" wikiproject. Your enthusiasm and someone elses English (the article makes sense but the syntax is unusual) should produce a "GA" .... good luck Victuallers (talk) 20:26, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kalnynsh.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

WP:RUSSIA roll call and your input required

Privet. You are receiving this message as you were listed on the membership list of WP:RUSSIA at Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia/Members. Recent times has seen minimal activity within WikiProject Russia, and there is an attempt to re-invigorate the project and have it become more organised into a fully-fledge functioning project, with the aim of increasing the quality of Russia-related articles across English wikipedia.

As we don't know which listed members are active within the project and Russia-related article, all listed members are receiving this message, and are requested to re-affirm their active status on Russia-related article by re-adding their username to Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia/Members by adding:

# {{User|YOURUSERNAME}}

to the membership list. You may also like to place {{User Russian Project}} on your userpage, as this will also place you in Category:WikiProject Russia members.

There is also an active proposal on the creation of a single WP:RUSSIA project. The proposal can be viewed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Russia#Proposal_for_overhaul_and_creation_of_a_single_WP:RUSSIA_project, and your comments and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Russia/Proposal.

We all look forward to your continued support of WP:RUSSIA and any comments you may have on the proposal. --Russavia Dialogue Stalk me 04:32, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Sofiarotaruheartofgoldfrontside.jpg}

Thank you for uploading File:Sofiarotaruheartofgoldfrontside.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Disputed fair use rationale for File:Sofiarotaruheartofgoldbackside.jpg}

Thank you for uploading File:Sofiarotaruheartofgoldbackside.jpg.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. License tagging for File:Sofiarotaruonlyforyoualbumbackcover.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Sofiarotaruonlyforyoualbumbackcover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:05, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop blindly reverting this article. A lot of work has been done to improve it, and your edits are unhelpful. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 16:47, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Before blindly reverting the song titles, please acquaint yourself with WP:Naming conventions (films)#Foreign-language films. Thank You. --Jaan Pärn (talk) 16:55, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dusha

Please provide a brief reason for the move at Talk:Dusha#Naming redux. A consensus will need to be reached before the move can be performed. -kotra (talk) 17:55, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:Names#Foreign names justifies the move. The film was never released or screened under an English title, therefore an WP:OR translation is out of question. --Jaan Pärn (talk) 22:06, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Rubikonchik, I have responded to your question on my talk page. Thanks! -kotra (talk) 22:46, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated List of highest paid musicians in 2008, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of highest paid musicians in 2008. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

July 2009

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sofia Rotaru. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 16:10, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sofia Rotaru

Hey. Would you mind giving your opinion on Talk:Sofia Rotaru#Romanian vs Moldavian about the Romanian vs Moldavian thing? Olahus is making the change from Moldavian to Romanian, and I thought that the three of us were in agreement that that change should not be made. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 14:20, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

See Talk:Sofia Rotaru#Sigh. Are you just going to keep adding this forever? — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 20:27, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on Sofia Rotaru. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You seem to be accusing the other editors of bad-faith editing a lot. This is inappropriate. Irbisgreif (talk) 22:33, 1 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have been trying to assume good faith for a very long time, if you check all talk pages of all edited by User:Erikupoeg Sofia Rotaru related articles. However, when faced with repeated deliberate lying, insults and personal attacks - I cannot, can you?--Rubikonchik (talk) 22:45, 1 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sadly, sometimes I slip up, but we are better editors and better people if we stay calm. Consider stepping back and opening up an RfC on everyone's actions related to Sofia Rotaru? In doing so, many editors can come and look, and if many decide people are misbehaving, actions can be taken. Irbisgreif (talk) 06:53, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Erikupoeg

BTW, you shouldn't have "advertised" the RFC- it needs two users to certify the dispute, and you haven't even signed it yourself. I didn't realize that until after I'd already commented. tedder (talk) 23:40, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

oops sorry, do you want me to delete those notices now? I thought it was important to inform people aware of the situation... Also I think my signature appears on the RFC, it is in fact signed.--Rubikonchik (talk) 23:47, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
