- I go through spurts of recent changes patrolling, for which this permission would be quite useful. What especially prompted me to request this permission was attempting to revert this vandalism (about a dozen templates vandalized, multiple times each), of the sort that makes normal "undo" useless. Rollback is critical to revert complex vandalism like this, and I would like to be better prepared next time. Mamyles (talk) 01:54, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- Just out of curiosity, Mamyles, have you ever tried using WP:Twinkle? Very helpful in vandalism removal and assists in warning users, tagging articles, deletion nominations and more. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 02:52, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- @EoRdE6: have not used it, but may try it in the future. Thank you for the suggestion. Mamyles (talk) 03:27, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

- (Non-administrator comment) it looks like the user doesn't have much (or any) Recent Changes patrolling, the main (and probably only) reason for Rollback.--ABCDEFADtalk to me 21:03, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- Not done. Unfortunately, I don't think you have sufficient anti-vandalism experience at this time. Take a moment to check out what counter-vandalism is at WP:CVU and feel free to reapply once you have gained some more experience. Nakon 00:54, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

- I have made a few thousand edits in my Wiki career, multiple (large) articles of which two are up for GA nomination, and have received barnstars for handling Vandalism in the past. I correct vandalism on sight whenever I see it and I believe this tool could assist me even better with that. Regards. LouisAragon (talk) 02:48, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

edit warring. Request again when your record is more well established. Thanks! Malinaccier (talk) 19:29, 14 May 2015 (UTC)- Malinaccier, excuse me, but I hope you saw that it was proven that I was not related to that SPI and was blocked wrongly, right? [1]. Also, I never got blocked for edit warring, so I don't know where you got that from. - LouisAragon (talk) 20:41, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, my reading of your blocks was that you were never involved with sock-puppetry in the first case, but that you later were found to have abused multiple accounts. While it looks like you were not involved in any edit warring per se, your use of multiple accounts to edit sensitive articles is in a similar spirit--hence my caution in wanting to grant your rollback request. I still stand by my initial decision not to enable rollback, but if administrators who are more familiar with your editing patterns such as Bbb23 disagreed with me I would have no problem with enabling rollback on your account. Thanks, Malinaccier (talk) 14:30, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

- Hello. Bbb23 was in fact the main admin who re-blocked me wrongly two times, so asking him about extra info about my editing patterns is not really the most... promising thing. Anyway, I'll leave it at here. I might apply somewhere again in the future. Thanks for your replies. - LouisAragon (talk) 14:51, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
