Sabumon Abdusamad, also known mononymously as Sabu, is an Indian actor and Television Anchor who works in Malayalam cinema. He hosted the show 'Tharikida' which led to him being addressed as "Tharikida Sabu". He made his Malayalam movie debut through the movie Nakshathrakkannulla Rajakumaran Avanundoru Rajakumari. He was the winner of Bigg Boss Malayalam 1 [1][2][3]
Early life
Sabumon hails from Kayamkulam, Alappuzha. He completed his graduation in law from University College Thiruvananthapuram. He initially worked in the sales and operations division of Lufthansa Airlines in Saudi Arabia. He decided to quit the job and pursue his passion in the acting industry.
Career
Sabumon got his initial success by hosting the prank show Tharikida on Surya TV. Due to the success of the show, people started addressing him as "Tharikida Sabu". He got his first Malayalam movie break through the movie Nakshathrakkannulla Rajakumaran Avanundoru Rajakumari. He later hosted the TV show "Take it Easy" and was a guest judge in the TV show Midukki.
He was the 13th entrant into the Season 1 of Bigg Boss Malayalam. He was declared the winner of the show based on votes from the general public. [4][5]
