Taxicabs of Macau are a key part of public transport in Macau. There are approximately 700 cabs registered in Macau.

There are two types of taxicabs in Macau, easily recognizable by their color patterns. They are:

  • Black Cab, probably the oldest in Macau and judged by some to be the most comfortable.
  • Macau Radio Taxi Service,founded in 2015,focuseson immediate andadvanced Taxi reservation through call center,mobile application and official website.[1]

  • Yellow Cab, known for drivers who drive faster than their counterparts in the black cabs.

Availability

Taxicabs are easily found near the airport, the Hong Kong-Macau ferry terminal, and major gambling venues and hotels in the city though it is rather hard to get one during rush hour on the streets. Radio taxis are available, and there are two hotlines for the black and yellow cabs respectively.
