Returning from Mos Pelgo, the Mandalorian subdues bandits who attempt unsuccessfully to capture the Child. His speederbike destroyed, Mando walks back to Mos Eisley, finding Peli Motto playing cards with Dr. Mandible, who has information about Mandalorians in return for covering his bets.
The Mandalorian must transport a passenger to an estuary moon called Trask where her husband will fertilize her eggs, in exchange for information about other Mandalorians. Her spawn are fragile and must be transported at "sub-light" speeds even though puts them at risk of being attacked by pirates. The Child surreptitiously eats some of the eggs. They encounter a New Republic patrol, and the Razorcrest is forced to flee, to a nearby planet. The Mandalorian dives through clouds and evades them in an ice canyon. The Razor Crest crashes through the ice, and is severely damaged. The Mandalorian wants to wait until morning to make repairs when the temperatures are less severely cold.
The Passenger uses the severed head of the droid Zero to translate and tell Mando that they cannot wait, admonishing him for breaking his word, before he reluctantly begins repairs. The Child gets Mando's attention, the Frog Lady has gone. They find her in a nearby hot water pool, bathing with the eggs. Mando warns it is not safe and collects the eggs. The Child explores the ice cave and upon finding an egg, eats the contents. The other eggs hatch, and soon the cave is filled with ice-spiders (Krykna), of all sizes. They start to leave as a giant spider attacks and they are chased by a cluster of spiders. The spiders surround them from all sides, but they make it to the cockpit of the Razorback, and Mando uses his arm flamethrower kill enough spiders that he can seal the door. A few remaining spiders climb onto The Child but are vaporized by the Passenger with a tiny blaster.
As they take-off, a giant spider attacks. They are trapped but then blaster fire kills off the spiders. The X-wing pilots have come to their rescue, and explain that there is an arrest warrant out on The Mandalorian for freeing a dangerous prisoner. They also note that The Mandalorian confined three other criminals and defended the prison guard and they are willing to overlook the incident as these are "trying times". Mando asks for help, but they leave him only with a warning. He makes repairs and the barely functioning ship continues on. The Passenger and Mando fall asleep, the Child has somehow sneaked another egg that he happily gulps down.
