Near the end of the second paragraph, it mentions "Valence". Does this mean Valence, Drôme, known in Roman times as Valentia? Or does it mean some other place -- there are several places in France called Valence. Please change the link to point to the specific, correct place. Thanks. --Coppertwig 16:43, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

could also be Valencia in Spain -- I think there's some association between those royal houses -- will come back if I figure it out.Elinruby (talk) 03:12, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Germany?

I strongly question the inclusion of this article in the "Germany" project. While modern state boundaries have only marginal application to the early Middle Ages, Louis the Blind's political career was focused on areas outside of the German regnum (Provence, N Italy, Burgundy); the only possible association is through the Lombard Italian kingdom (which he claimed but never could hold), which eventually was brought under Saxon control in the 950s. I'd buy putting him within the "Project:France" rubric, perhaps, but Germany? Don't think so... SGilsdorf 16:05, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regardless of badly sourced online databases, we do not know exactly when Charles was born, not when his mother lived or died, or who she was, or when or even if they were married. Her identification as Anna the daughter of the then reigning Emperor is quite silly, and at any rate, it's not a traditional view, it's a modern speculation. Based solely on the false idea that the name Constantine somehow means there was a blood-link to the Emperor. Wjhonson (talk) 05:54, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Place of death

Some of the other articles list "Arles" as place of death, not Vienne. -- 签名 sig at 10:15, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Place of burial

For Wikidata:Q310435, I'm trying to find his place of burial. Is it known? Arles of Vienne? -- 签名 sig at 10:15, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
