Welcome!

Hello, Farhan Khurram, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Full time Mastiii, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Valenciano (talk) 08:40, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Full time Mastiii requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Valenciano (talk) 08:40, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Beladi International School Jeddah

What you keep doing to the category links Beladi International School Jeddah is not correctly categorizing the article; categories are named in the format "Schools in Saudi Arabia", not "List of schools...", and the word "Category:" goes inside the wikilinks, not outside. Please either familiarize yourself how to correctly apply categories on here, or leave the task alone for somebody else to look after. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 20:28, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Boeing 747-400 with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Please stop removing these images. Wikipedia is a non-secular website and is not required to follow the beliefs of any religion, including Islam. The community has consistently upheld that these images will not be removed. If you wish to hide the images for yourself when viewing this article, please see question 3 on the FAQ at Talk:Muhammad where instructions are available for you to alter the display to suit your own personal beliefs. January 2013

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Some of your recent edits, such as those you added to October 30, have been considered unhelpful or unconstructive and have been reverted or removed. The article that you edited has notability guidelines for the addition of birthdays and deaths to the list. Refer to WP:DOY for details on what are acceptable entries in Wikicalendar articles. Thank you. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 10:59, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tall buildings

Hi. I have reverted some of your recent edits. When adding information to articles like List of tallest buildings in the world, please try to be sure a building is eligible to be included on the list. For example:

  • You added Bahria Icon Tower 1 to the under construction list, but at only 260 m (according to CTBUH and Emporis - both are reliable sources), that building is not eligible for a list that obviously stops at 300 m.
  • You also added three buildings to the on-hold list. However, Jeddah's Kingdom Tower, Karachi's Port Tower Complex and Lahore's Mubarak Center have not yet started construction and therefore cannot be put on-hold. The on-hold list also stops at 300 m, so the Mubarak center would not have been eligible anyway.
  • Over at List of tallest buildings in Pakistan, you also added something to the under construction list. Unfortunately, that edit broke the list because you left out the name of the building. Looking at the list from the CTBUH again, I suspect you meant the Centaurus Hotel which is under construction and 41 floors. That building's height is unknown so guessing at 200 m just to add it to the list is not a good idea. Note that Emporis has it at 37 floors and estimates 143 m, but also has it only as a proposal - I guess Emporis's fact-checkers haven't got around to that one yet. Of course, if you can find another reliable source for the height (ie. not a forum, blog, fan page etc.) feel free to add it back in.

Redirecting page Ibrahim

There is discussion in process for redirecting page Ibrahim to prophet Ibrahim page Abraham in Islam at Talk:Ibrahim page. Please see discussion at Talk:Abraham in Islam page also, where there is no agreement on including even name of Ibrahim in title of Abraham in Islam page which is special topic meant for Ibrahim. Now it is proposed that we may agree for redirecting at least, as Ibrahim is prime topic for prophet Ibrahim and he is religious, prominent figure of millions of Islam follower, who are in majority English knowing ( if not speaking) peoples. If you feel it is justified, Please help getting views for the people who may agree for this move.--Md iet (talk) 06:42, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Aga Khan Award for Architecture, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shalimar Gardens (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Replaceable fair use File:President Mamnoon Hussain.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:President Mamnoon Hussain.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Blurred Lines 16:52, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!

This is about the third or fourth time I have reverted your edit to add the Port Tower Complex in Karachi to the list of on hold on the List of tallest buildings in the world. As I have repeatedly stated in my edit summaries, the building has not yet started construction and therefore it cannot now be on-hold. Note that Wikipedia relies on data from reliable sources, and the reliable sources such as Emporis, CTBUH, Skyscraperpage all say it has not started and is not on hold. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Port Tower Complex.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Port Tower Complex.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:33, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:King Fahd Road66.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:King Fahd Road66.jpg, which you've attributed to http://blogs.blouinnews.com/blouinbeattechnology/2013/11/18/saudis-top-web-charts-despite-restrictions/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:56, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I'm not sure what you were trying to do in this edit, but I don't agree with it. The IP was restoring content that I removed because it was a WP:BLP violation. Hamilton's relationship with McLaren team boss Ron Dennis dates back to 1995,[68] with the first indication that Hamilton was unhappy with his team appearing after he finished second at Monaco in 2007. After post-race comments made by Hamilton which suggested he had been forced into a supporting role, the FIA initiated an inquiry to determine whether McLaren had broken rules by enforcing team orders.[69] McLaren denied favouring double world champion Fernando Alonso, and the FIA subsequently vindicated the team, stating that: "McLaren were able to pursue an optimum team strategy because they had a substantial advantage over all other cars. Hi Farhan, thank you for participating in the competition! Just a note: can you please also provide the article link on the lists pages. For example, Sheikhupura Fort is PB/39 in the Punjab list here. In many cases we have not yet assigned the correct codes and will do so later in August, so I understand you will need to make an effort to find the concerned site/monument. Thanks again! With reference to your question on my talk page, I will reply here. Please click this link. If you see the title, it is the List of cultural heritage sites in Punjab, Pakistan. This is one of the region-wise lists we are talking about. Other lists are for each of the eight regions (provinces+special areas: Gilgit Baltistan, Sindh, Islamabad Capital Territory, FATA etc.) You can see all of these lists here. The above user is suggesting that you also make edits to the relevant site on the list.

For example, if you go to the Punjab list, you will find Sheikhupura Fort there. These lists are actually the main record of all the heritage sites in Pakistan: if you find anything is missing or is incorrect, you can update/correct it. Hope that helps :) Samar Talk 21:13, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Android (robot), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cortana. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:03, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited McLaren Automotive, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brazilian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

I have taken a notice already and improved the article "Arif Nizami". Over the course of the next couple of days, I will keep adding more information to this as well as the other article that you have mentioned, as much as possible. I truly hope that the deletion nominations are discarded.

F1 2019 (video game) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, F1 2019 (video game), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
