Summary

Description Launch of the U.S. Navy tank landing ship LST-32 on 22 May 1943 at the Dravo Corporation Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA). LST-32 was commissioned on 12 July 1943. On 1 July 1955 the ship was named USS Alameda County (LST-32). After serving as AVB-1 (Advance Aviation Base Ship) from 1957 to 1962 it was sold to Italy and finally decommissioned on 1 August 1973.
