French-born?
[edit]The lede says he was a French-born English divine. However, the Early Life section says Basire was born, according to Anthony à Wood, in Jersey. We know that Jersey has been under the king of England since 1066, and the Jersey article says "After Normandy was lost by the kings of England in the 13th century, and the ducal title surrendered to France, Jersey and the other Channel Islands remained attached to the English crown."
My conclusion is that Isaac Basire was Jersey-born, and not French-born. Should the lede say that?--Dthomsen8 (talk) 01:50, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
