Managing a conflict of interest

No content 'lost'
[edit]At the article, View history provides a chronological list of all edits (green means content added, red means content removed). Clicking on "pre" shows exactly what as added or removed. Clicking on a date show the version on that date (past versions cannot be edited). Assuming you are Kent Larson, Wikipedia asks that you declare that on your User page, and more to the point, because of your COI, suggest changes on the Talk page of the article rather than editing the article directly, especially as content you wanted to add was reverted.

Wrong use of trout! Firestar464 was correct in reverting you unreferenced or erroneously referenced additions to the article about you (we both assume you actually are Kent Larson). And you are wrong to ask the content be restored. The reason I provided examples of articles about other MIT Media Lab faculty members is to demonstrate by example how wrong your over-lengthy descriptions of your accomplishments were. The only path open to you is to use the Talk page to ask for specific changes be made to the existing article. Specific means providing the exact wording you are requesting, with properly formatted references embedded. (D.A. Mark, MIT 73, 77, 81). David notMD (talk) 14:30, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
