After months of editing on Wikipedia, I created my first article (a biography), but it was rejected despite using sufficient and reliable sources. Can I contest a rejection? Opyquad (talk) 13:42, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 197.211.53.65.I use two network providers in my location due to poor connectivity. When one has issues, I usually switch to the other. Can this be investigated?

Decline reason:

That IP is a proxy, being used as a source of extensive spam. 331dot (talk) 07:05, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Alright @Vanderwaalforces The page is open to valuable contributions. Opyquad (talk) 10:05, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Anytime! Always reach out when in doubt. Happy editing. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 10:21, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Vanderwaalforces I just introduced two links to the page. Will it be sufficient to remove the tag? Kindly check. Opyquad (talk) 10:28, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That was incorrect. You should not add external links on prose in English Wikipedia. The page is an orphan and what that means is that there are no other articles on English Wikipedia currently linking to this one. To de-orphan, you have to look for other articles on English Wikipedia that mentions Oyedunni Arulogun and wikilink the name like this [[Oyedunni Arulogun]] (if you are using the code editor). Kindly read WP:WIKILINK to see what a wikilink is. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 10:45, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I get it. I will revert the last links. Thanks for the clarifications. Opyquad (talk) 10:50, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I already reverted your edit. So don't bother. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 10:53, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see. I just wikilink from Chrisland University I hope this is right now? Opyquad (talk) 10:56, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Now, that is what I'm talking about. Happy editing, again. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 10:59, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Opyquad (talk) 11:02, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Opyquad, on the other hand, do you have any sort of connection with Oyedunni Arulogun? It will make things clearer if I am made aware of any. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 12:39, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Vanderwaalforces I'm not in anyway connected to the subject. I was only inspired by one of her interviews I stumbled upon online. 102.89.68.102 (talk) 13:21, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's fair enough. Please, always stay logged in while making edits or replying in talk pages. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 13:47, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. I was actually having connection issue at the time Opyquad (talk) 18:46, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
