Me

[edit]

Hi, I work in Dublin but live in Newbridge, County Kildare. LittleOldMe 15:43, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I never deleted your article since I am not an administrator. However, I did recommend that it be deleted. Wikipedia sets certain notability standards, and in my opinion (and the opinion of the administrator who deleted it) it failed to meet those standards. If you want to know who deleted the page, click on the red Find The Pint link and click on the deletion logs link on the destination page. Regards LittleOldMe 15:55, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Find The Pint, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ...adam... Reasons

[edit]

Your article on FtP had already been deleted three times by three different editors, and there was no substantive difference.

Urban Dictionary is not a valid primary source, especially when you admit that you're the one who added the information to UD in the first place. How are we to know that anyone cares about this who doesn't know you personally? If it's just a tiny little cult hit in your corner of Fermanagh, does anyone who isn't from there even know about it ? Wikipedia is not "to make it better known", it's "to collect the knowledge that already exists".

Your previous account was blocked for twenty-four hours because you made personal attacks; "I would post it myself but thats the reason i am YellowSnowRecords2 and not 1 as they considered me dangerous and threatening woo go me" is really misleading. Also, I note that you had received warnings for having vandalized articles. Don't do this sort of thing again. DS 14:14, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion

[edit]

Che Finlay has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this person might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but if an editor is still not satisfied that it meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. The article Djphenafoil has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Veinor (talk to me) 18:45, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Djphenafoil2.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Djphenafoil.jpg. The copy called Image:Djphenafoil.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 18:47, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know

Removing discussions from other people's talkpages is a bad idea, even if you started it. Veinor (talk to me) 20:21, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sunrise/Streetsinger has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable compilation of two non-notable albums with no content other than a tracklisting.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Justin (koavf)TCM18:23, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
