Long term unreferenced BLP with no significant coverage able to be found in independent reliable sources. PROD was removed by a first time editor with no explanation or effort to improve the article. The-Pope (talk) 13:38, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Can this article be turned into a stub? Although there are no online biographical sources,he gave a rare interview to Radio Nacional Exterior in 2001 which detailed his life which I heard back then when I was in Spain. Also his discography is backed by reliable sources such as AMG and ASCAP which back up his notability as he has sold several million records. i am a first time editor and as such inexperieced so apologies for removing the PROD without explanation. --Aloiiyii (talk) 16:01, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- If you are able to find sufficient significant (ie not just a list) reliable sources (ie not a blog/forum/user submitted content) from independent sources (ie not his record label) to satisfy the general notability guideline; or if you can prove from a reliable source that he meets the WP:MUSICBIO requirements, then the article can remain. Personally, for non-performers, I think they should have received awards for their contribution, not just been involved in other people's notable work. The-Pope (talk) 16:12, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. In my opinion he meets the WP:MUSICBIO/WP:COMPOSER requirements by having the credit for having written music for a notable composition, in this case "Vive El Verano" which was a single that went to number one in Spain and was included on Paulina Rubio's multiple award winning album "Paulina" which went on to sell 1.8 million copies in America alone and over 3 million albums worldwide all of which can be easily googled. The ASCAP external link on the article's page proves his credit as it is a link not to ASCAP's general website but directly to the composition's credit itself, though I think it should have been positioned in the sources section to avoid confusion. Given that ASCAP is one of America's most important societies for songwriters and composers, surely this must be considered a reliable source of information. - Weak delete. I've added some sources confirming that he has worked with several artists, but I couldn't find any significant coverage of Roman or anything to confirm notability via any other means.--Michig (talk) 06:29, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Satisfies WP:COMPOSER.--Melodiaharmoniai (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 12:27, 20 July 2011 (UTC).[reply]
- Keep. Have corrected link to another major artist he has worked with.--Ashillicamas (talk) 13:05, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
