- I guess this hinges upon whether the red triangle overlaid by eight small orange circles arranged in a circular pattern constitutes "simple geometric shapes". I make no comment one way or the other. –xenotalk 13:10, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- I would say it does. The US Copyright Office has declared that the Best Western logo is simple enough to be PD, and I would argue that calling the shapes there geometric is a stretch, so I see no issue with this one. —fetch·comms 17:59, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Seems to be a shot of a printout of some sort; even if the uploader took the photo, the award design and diploma are both copyrighted, and do not fall under de minimis in this situation, as they are supposed to be the focus of the image. —fetch·comms 21:31, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
