On April 17, 2025, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys tennis team played against Bishop Diego High School (Bishop Diego.) Pictured above, the team engages in their traditional group huddle shortly after announcing their lines. They would go on to win 14 sets of 18.

Mahir Shyam ’25 and Emiliano Ferro ’25 compete in doubles in their second set against Bishop Diego High School (Bishop Diego). After a long and tight series of games, the pair would fall short of victory with a 3-6 final score.

He serves the ball across the court in an overhead serve, hoping to get an “ace” – a serve in which the ball lands in the opposite teams court without any other player touching it. On April. 15, 2025, Foothill Technology (Foothill Tech) boys volleyball faced off against Providence School. This was a very rapid match, as Foothill Tech secured all three sets in one swoop. On April 14, 2025 Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys tennis team went against Cate School (Cate). Doubles partners Dylan Files ’26 and Gregory Davis ’26 cheer each other on as they prepare for the next set. Although they lost this match, they continued to communicate on the court between points and persisted through.

Chick’n Dipp’n sauce has taken Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) by storm. Described as creamy, a little bit sweet and just right for tater tots and pizza, students around campus enjoy the sauce with their lunches. The craze has given the cafeteria staff to start rationing the sauce. One sauce per person and only if you have an element of chicken on your tray.

Chick’n Dipp’n sauce, often seen on students lunch trays at Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech), plays the role of adding rich flavors and savory textures to the meal. The sauce is usually accompanied by chicken sandwiches, burgers or wraps, but can also be as a unusual addition to a side dish, elevating the taste of the school meal.

Not only was there just one influential movie released in each decade, but there were countless classics airing all around, showcasing the wonders that each era had to offer. Beyond just romance, there were many other genres of movies being explored and broadcast that received positive feedback. From creepy murder mysteries to musicals of family and love, these films have become staples in many people’s households during a late-night movie marathon.

Families crowded around at the many craft making stations lining the perimeter of the courtyard. These stations included owl magnets, pine cone owl dolls and owl masks. Many children excitedly glued feathers onto their masks as the celebration commenced.

Falconer Katie Adams addresses the eager crowd with Periwinkle, an Eurasian eagle owl, perched on her leather glove. Owls have a 270 degree rotational field of vision, so Periwinkle made use of this to survey the large crowd with his amber eyes.

Two presentations were held in the courtyard of the adobe during the festival. Each demonstration featured information about local owl species, such as diet, anatomy, habitat and ways to protect them. At 11:30 a.m., the Ojai Raptor Center presented with real owl specimen. At 1:00 p.m., Ventura Katie Adams handled a live Eurasian eagle owl named Periwinkle.

In the evening of April 10, 2025, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) Dragons traveled to Carpinteria, Calif. to face off against the Cate School (Cate) Rams. After losing 1-3 the last time these two teams matched up, the Dragons were determined to win. After three intense sets, Foothill Tech swept Cate and emerged victorious, 3-0.
