Uhhh, in case you missed the large text that says "Civilzation 3", this is for Civ3, not whatever your map is for.

Uh hu, that's why your screenshot of the minimap looks nothing like a Civ3 minimap.

Oh I'd love a Discworld map if you could cionvert it to just plain vanilla Civ3. Pretty please? :D

Oh, neat. Looks very well-done, excellent, etc. I would posit that one should have more plains out in the east by Henua, Kythia, Brindisi, Muntab, etc... and rivers out there, too. Also, the Counterweight Continent and XXXX seem a little small, as does the Widdershins Ocean between XXXX and the "Main Continent".

What source did you use for the map? There's a great map in the GURPS Discworld book. My scanner's broken, but I might be able to borrow a friend's tonight if you'd like me to scan it.

I used The Discworlde Mapp by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Biggs. I admit It needs to be improved and I will get round to increasing the size of the XXXX and and moving it away from the main continent. I also have a patially finished vanilla fersion it shouldn't take me too long to do. also i'd love to see different types of maps for referance differences, similarities, etc so please scan some images in

It's still a great map. :jump: But, yeah, I'll do the scanning tonight, after I run over to my friend's house.

It's a fairly similar map; grayscale, I think it stresses that the east is a little more verdant than the Discworld Mappe suggests. Also, this one was put out quite recently... 2001, I think.

The map spans 1 1/5 pages, so the left fifth of the image has a few choppy bits where I fused two together. The overall effect is that Krull looks funny, but it's pretty minor.

Here's the small one (72 kb):

The larger one weighs in at around 1.1 Mb. It had originally scanned at 64-color grayscale, and was a hefty 4 megs. I took it down to 8 or 16 colors (I really need to start remembering these things) and it still looks fine. At some zoom levels, it's going to look really weird; 100% looks fine, though. This one's good for seeing terrain (even if it is is in grayscle) and starting locations.

Bump- looking to convert this to conquests and tweak it for the aventual Discworld mod :)
