Knowles hopes to be selected for the Commonwealth Youth Games

Truro runner Katie Knowles won silver in the 300m at the English Schools Championships.
The 18-year-old was three seconds behind the winner, Hampshire's Charlotte Purdue.
Knowles is part of a number of talented young UK athletes being mentored by Dame Kelly Holmes and is hoping to go to the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games.
"Overall, I was pleased with silver," she said, "but gutted not to win gold, as that was what I'd set my heart on."
Her next race is the 3000m at the BMC Grand Prix at Trafford this coming Saturday (19 July).
Meanwhile St Austell hammer thrower Jay Hill just missed out on a medal.
The 16-year-old was fourth in the under 20's section with a throw of 54.99m, just 28cm off third place.
But his performance was good enough for him to be signed up by top athletics club Enfield and Haringey, the reigning champions, who are currently top of athletics' National League Division One.
