Montefiore New Rochelle to Get State Funds

The money was set aside to improve New York health-care facilities.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital will be receiving more than $44 million from the state for improvements.

State Sen. Andrea Stewart-Cousins made the announcement Wednesday.

The money has been committed from a $1.5 billion statewide fund established by Governor Andrew Cuomo to improve New York health-care facilities.

Democratic Leader Stewart-Cousins said she was grateful that Cuomo worked with the Legislature to help local hospitals and the communities they serve.

“These investments in our local medical facilities are vital to ensuring area residents have access to the health care they deserve,” she said.

The total amount Montefiore New Rochelle will be getting is $44,168,000. It will be used for the Montefiored New Rochelle Medical Village.
