The Stagnant Pond

Empty cans, fallen leaves, dirt and wood
Covered the face of the pond
everything standing in its place
If this is its nature
what magic makes you contemplate from the shore?

It might think this is its inevitable fate
and these are its components and nature!
but its chest is wider
and the trees beside it
Paint the most beautiful painting
Under the blue sky and its clarity.

Two dark green eyes
Like the color of the stagnant pond
Sad, full of tears
Regret inside it-
Small, tired fish
Scattered on its banks
Suffering in the silence of its shallows
