Wanting to showcase classic and elegant in a bolder, more dramatic color palette, Amberlee Christey Photography got together with Yohana Williams Weddings and Blooms Florist to create romantic red wedding ideas that are absolutely stunning! Drawing inspiration from the venue, the High Gate Carriage House, the team incorporated the property’s moss covered stone walls while pulling in rich colors and gold elements. It all combined beautifully to create an elegant wedding design that is oh-so inspiring!
From the team:
High Gate Carriage House was definitely the inspiration for this shoot. The venue is so gorgeous and castle like, we wanted the stone wall to feel incorporated instead of looking like a backdrop. Choosing the Queen Anne furniture and heavy gold containers balances and reflects the feel of the surroundings. We think one of the biggest design mistakes couples make is choosing palettes/flowers/decor without considering the look and feel of their venue. With rustic trends fading, there has been a return to elegance. I really wanted to show that classic and elegant doesn’t have to be creams and whites in a ballroom. The rich colors were chosen to bring in aspects of autumn. Also, they needed to be bold enough to hold their own with the moss covered wall and natural enough to keep from overpowering it. The decor is rich and beautiful, but the bride is still the star of the show. She isn’t overwhelmed or outshines by anything. And of course Bandit brings a bit of personality to the photos.
And also, how stunning is the bride’s dress?! Breathtaking!
