Far Cry 5

Ubisoft hasn’t officially confirmed Far Cry 5 yet, but according to a GameStop listing, it might very well release later this year.

Website SG Gaming Info reports that they were made aware of a Far Cry 5 PS4 listing on GameStop’s upcoming release list. Since the game was listed to be released on a Sunday, SG Gaming contacted GameStop to verify whether the listing was accurate or not. “To see if the listing was accurate, SG Gaming Info contacted a local GameStop and quoted the SKU code that was attached to Far Cry 5”, the website’s editor writes. Down below you’ll read his findings:

The GameStop employee who I talked to confirmed that the SKU code was attached to Far Cry 5 and that GameStop had the game down for a November 2017 release. In two separate emails to GameStop’s support department in which I provided the game’s SKU code, I received the following reply to both emails, “Unfortunately we are out of stock of Far Cry 5 for the PS4 and can’t guarantee more stock will be made available again to us from the vendor”. GameStop did not provide any additional information either over the phone or via email.

As said, Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed Far Cry 5 in any way so take the information above with a pinch of salt. If correct, we’re probably looking at a release on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Ubisoft’s latest Far Cry installment, Far Cry Primal, was released back in February of last year after being officially confirmed in October 2015.
