About Westland International School

Westland International School was founded in 2011 by a group of passionate and experienced educators who came from challenging backgrounds but shared a vision: to provide quality education that uplifts and empowers the community. Starting with part-time English programs, Westland has since evolved into a full-fledged international school that remains deeply committed to serving the local community.

Located in the prime area of Takmao Town, Kandal, Cambodia, all three of our campuses are situated in close proximity to each other. Our vision is to provide students with a solid foundation of knowledge and the essential skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world. We place a strong emphasis on teamwork, responsibility, and values that prepare our students for future success, both academically and in life.

At Westland, we are dedicated to maintaining a modern, clean, and safe learning environment, while nurturing a strong and supportive community that values innovation and continuous improvement. Our goal is to ensure our students are equipped with the tools they need to contribute meaningfully to the community and to the world.
As part of our ongoing commitment to education, we are planning to expand our mission by establishing an institute offering bachelor's and master's degrees, specifically designed to better serve the community here in Takmao. We believe in offering accessible, cost-effective higher education opportunities to our local families, enabling students to continue their academic journey without the burden of high costs.
We believe that through our unique community, dedication, and shared values, the future of Westland will continue to grow brighter, fostering opportunities for all.

Academics

The Westland curriculum is designed to prepare students for “lives of character, learning, leadership, and service” by encouraging breadth of intellectual exposure and depth of study.

The Westland International School is a community in which trust and honesty are of the highest value and in which any form of cheating or dishonesty creates undercurrents of distrust throughout the students and faculty.  W.I.S is an institution of learning and moral development, established with the purposes of intellectual growth and ethical awareness.  Dishonesty and cheating impede both, and work against
the creation of trust.

Our curriculum and courses foster critical reasoning and persuasive argumentation; engage students in basic academic content; develop skills in oral and written communication, and promote intellectual maturity and personal responsibility.

IELTS, TOEFL & Cambridge Preparation Courses

At Westland International School, we offer comprehensive preparation courses for three major English proficiency tests: IELTS, TOEFL, and Cambridge. Our programs provide students with the skills, strategies, and practice materials needed to achieve their desired scores and succeed in academic and professional environments.

  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a globally recognized English test used for study, migration, and work. It assesses listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills to determine English proficiency.
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a standardized test designed to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers who wish to enroll in English-speaking universities. It is widely accepted by institutions worldwide.
  • Cambridge English Qualifications are internationally recognized tests that assess English proficiency at different levels, from basic to advanced. These exams focus on real-life communication skills and are valuable for education, work, and travel.

We provide a variety of practice materials, expert guidance, and detailed tips to help students understand the test formats, improve their English skills, and build confidence before taking the exams. Our courses are designed to ensure students are well-prepared for success.
