Maryse Ducaire Roque Art
Maryse Ducaire Roque, who signed her name M. Ducaire, was a female French Impressionist who was best known for her paintings of the female nude. Ducaire was a pupil of Emmanuel Fougerat and a graduate of the National College of Decorative Arts (Ecole nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs) in Paris. She exhibited her work at numerous exhibitions in Paris, including the Salon des Artistes Indépendants, the Salon des Artistes Français (where she was a gold medal winner), the Salon d'Automne and Le Salon Comparaisons. She also exhibited solo in Paris, Aurillac, Lyons, Grenoble and New York. Ducaire was made a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur, one of France's highest honors for artists.
