Antique German Bisque Doll #152/4 Happy Character Baby by Hertel Schwab

About the Item

Antique Hertel Schwab baby doll. Measures approximately 13.5 inches in height. Beautiful blue glass sleep eyes with painted upper and lower lashes. Painted eyebrows. Open mouth with two upper teeth and a tongue. The head is incised with: Made in Germany 152 4. Antique five-piece composition baby body. Wearing adorable 2 Layers, inner and outer of costumes, and human hairs. Condition: No hairlines, a few very tiny wig pulls under the wig, paint rubs, Body has light wear but mostly good, outfit in good condition. One toe was retouched with paint.

Simon & Halbig Bisque doll, Kammer & Reinhardt 126 Germany Bisque head character baby with large brown glass flirty sleep eyes, eyelashes, open mouth with 2 upper teeth and tongue, blond hair by a blond mohair wig, composition baby body with pink dress and hat with feathers. The elastic bands in the body are still well attached. The bisque head has no cracks or lines in the porcelain. Marked at the back of the head: K R Simon Halbig 126 with a star between the K and R. The edge of the porcelain head is numbered 28.3.27. Simon & Halbig started in 1902 a co-operation with Kämmer of Kämmer & Reinhardt in which Kämmer modeled heads and the firm produced them.
