THIS IS A 1978 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX G-BODY, EQUIPPED WITH A V-8 MOTOR,THAT PURRS LIKE A KITTEN THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT SO SMOOTH LIKE BUTTER.THE EXTERIOR WAS PAINTED WITH THE ORIGINAL COLOR 10 YRS AGO AND THE PAINT IS STILL AMAZING AND SHINES BEAUTIFULLY.ALL THE CHROME AND TRIM IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION INCLUDING BEAUTIFUL BUMPERS AND RUBBER.IT HAS A CREAM COLOR LEATHER TOP THAT IS ALSO IN EXCELLENT TO MINT CONDITION.ALL THE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN PERFECT WITH NO SCRATCHES.THE BODY HAS NO RUST,THE TRUNK NO RUST,THE FLOORS HAVE NO RUST.IT HAS THE ORIGINAL WHEELS THAT ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS WELL.ALL THE DOOR PANELS ARE IN MINT CONDITION,SEATS AND REAR..THE WOOD GRAIN AND DASH ARE PERFECT EVERYTHING INSIDE WORKS PERFECT.NO CRACKS IN DASH..IT HAS 103,000 ORIGINAL MILES. General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]
Fri, 26 Aug 2011You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
