Screenplay is motivated by a mermaid story in story collection "Eou yadam" by Joseon scholar Yu Mong-In.

Story revolves around county magistrate Kim Dam-Ryung who released mermaids into the ocean.

The mermaids were caught by fisherman.Drama series will be the last acting role for actor Lee Min-Ho before he enters into the military for approximately 2 years.

Drama series is also the first acting role for actress Gianna Jun since she gave birth to her first child.

Filming began August 19, 2016 at Goesan, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea.Filming moves to the island of Palau in late August, 2016 and filming will also take place in Spain in September, 2016.

First script reading took place October 8, 2016 in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. The first script reading lasted for 3 hours and covered the first 4 episodes.

At first, I'm a bit hesitant to watch this drama cause my watchlist is still full. Don't know when to watch some of those. But thankfully that I watched it cause it's a masterpiece for me!

The pilot episode was so AWESOME.

All I can say is it's really great. Everything was good. And I laugh from the very start until the end. Ohmo. Lee min ho and Jun Ji Hyun made a good chemistry!

Even though Jun Ji Hyun doesn't speak, she still quite understand what Lee Min Ho say. I actually thought she can speak like she can understand and just don't have the mood to speak, but I'm dumbfounded when until the end she doesn't even speak. Hahaha

The writer did a great job making this drama cause it's not cliché and not an ordinary drama that you can see in every television channel.

Overall. It's really amazing! You should guys watch it. It's really good.
