Since its founding in 1939, Ferrari has built not only first-rate cars but also a reputation for combining aerodynamic designs with aesthetic flare. Which means that any concept car the Italian automaker unveils is a signal for carmakers to take note. This week, Ferrari announced the winning idea for its 2040 concept car: the Manifesto, created by a team at ISD-Rubika Design School. The group won the third iteration of Ferrari’s Top Design School Challenge, which launched in October 2014, with the goal of finding inspiration for the brand’s cars of the future. The firm received submissions from design students from around the globe, and the 12 finalists were selected late last year. The judges declared the stunning Manifesto concept car as the winner earlier this week, with the FL and the de Esfera concept cars rounding out the top three.
