Spots on rooster comb/ dealing with Wry neck

Hi. I have a serama rooster that is about 10 months old. He was slow to mature and late summer he would occasionally have what seemed to be a mini seizure but after 20-30 seconds of having no balance he was fine.
He lives in the house with his sister and about 12 days ago started developing wry neck. I thought he was gonna pass because he would not even open his eyes when he was syringe fed. I persisted with his treatment. Liquid brewers yeast and electrolytes for fluid. .8 cc 5-8x a day and I milled spelt bran and germ and mixed with a little hot water, vit e and turmeric, raw egg yolk and now mashed hard boiled with crushed sunflower seed as meals. 3x a day. He also has a bit of his regular food he can peck at all day.i found some prednisone I would give him 2x a day for about 8 days and the past 3 have been 1x. I’m planning on stopping as of today. I give him .2cc. I normally wouldn’t give meds but figured he was likely to pass and I couldn’t make him more dead but it could also help. He weighed 1/2 pound at his highest. His cecal and regular poop have started to be normal over the past few days. he still struggles with falling over and needing assistance to get back up and drinking water he has made a miraculous recovery and is walking and is now able to eat without falling over. I noticed today his wattles started to seem a bit pale and when I zoomed in a picture I noticed some small black spots. He has been separated from his sister so it’s not pecking scabs. If it looks glistening it’s because I rubbed some vet ex on it.
Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong with his comb? Or any additional advice dealing with wry neck?
Sorry for so much info but maybe it would help with any advice.

It looks like he has some swelling around the eyes/face, has he had trouble with respiratory illness in the past?

Not sure what the spots are on the comb, could be a reaction to the medications.

I'd try to make sure he's getting at least 400IU Vitamin E daily.

I'm glad he's beginning to improve.

He had a “cold” when I got him at about 6 weeks. Once in a while I notice he sneezes a bit. I’ve heard him sneeze a few times during this wry time but nothing serious.

Absolutely! I break a tab and squirt the gel in his meals as well he gets some from the sunflower seeds and the spelt bran and germ have vit e and selenium.

I'm glad he's beginning to improve.

His wattles are still pale however he is improving. He still has trouble drinking but he is starting to correct himself when he falls and twists but I’m still on 24h rooster duty!

Oh, he may have some respiratory illness still going on since it does look like he has some facial swelling/sagging around the eyes.

I'd consider treating him with Tylosin or Tiamulin (Denagard) to see if that also helps.

Yes I could see that after you mentioned that he does look puffy around the eyes!

Unfortunately I’m in Canada so I don’t think I can order those meds but I’ll see what I can do.

Look at Pigeon Supply or Fish Supply online in your country, sometimes you can find meds you need.

A few days ago he started to seem uninterested in his food and was starting to sleep a lot. I found an amount recommendation on her from a lady ( I can’t remember her name, starts w/ a C and she posts often and is very knowledgeable) for amoxicillin dosage. I had that in hand so I started to administer that to him. Today is the 3rd day and he has perked up greatly, is eating like a pig and his comb and wattles have gone back to a normal colour.

Thank you for all your help with my baby. It has been absolutely exhausting but he finally seems like he is back to his normal self.

I'm glad you were able to find some medication. Yes, I believe I know who you are talking about. That C person is very knowledgeable

So nice to hear he's doing better too, hopefully he's going to make a full recovery. He's such a sweet little guy!

I’m not sure why he is doing this but I believe it must be connected to the wry neck. I have a rooster that is now 2 years that was born with wry neck and he often does the same type of spinning but will spin like 10 times. He is pretty handicap but is friendly and the girls seem to care for him.
I’ll share a funny pic of him.
Has anyone else had this circling connected with wry neck and if so were you able to remedy it?

The spinning could be from neurological. You can try giving him 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4tablet B-Complex daily for a few weeks to see if that helps.
