Coventry looks set to get its first trampoline park after an operator announced plans to open in the city.
Operator Jump In has revealed plans to open a facility at the Earlplace Business Park, just off the A45, in Tile Hill.
Jump In says the new trampoline park will open in 2018 if planning permission is granted, creating 60 jobs.
The first trampoline park in the area is set to open soon in Exhall but the Jump In facility would be the first one in Coventry.
Earlier this year operator Red Kangaroo announced plans to transform a former industrial warehouse in Exhall as part of a trio of roll-outs across the country.
It will be located at the former RSM Industries site in Church Lane.
The Red Kangaroo park will have 75 trampolines and is set to create around 80 jobs.
In April the Telegraph reported it was due to open in July, though its opening date has yet to be announced.
Jump In said it was drawn to Coventry as the city was currently the largest metropolitan area in the UK without a trampoline park.
Vernon West, chairman of Jump In, said: “We’re thrilled to have taken the first steps in becoming part of Coventry’s diverse recreation activities.
“We have selected an entirely accessible location in the city and will be working hard to create an attraction for the whole community to enjoy”
The park is set to launch next year with all the most popular facilities from Jump In’s existing seven UK sites, including one in Warwick . Features will include interconnected trampolines, wall trampolines, a foam pit, air bag, a dedicated toddler jump space and a Gladiators-style battle beam.
Jump In also says it also wants to canvas the views of potential customers by giving them the opportunity to determine which new features they would most like to see at the Coventry venue.
Options include a rope swing, basketball nets, a tightrope, a soft play area for younger children and more besides.
A special Facebook page being set up will host a poll, giving people from Coventry the chance to have their say on what they would like to see at the city’s Jump In.
Jump In was founded in 2014 by three parents who were inspired by trampoline parks in the US.
The company has plans to open a number of new trampoline parks this year and in 2018.
