Christina Milian has come to the defense of Beyonce's daughter Blue Ivy, following the young star's red carpet appearance at the Mufasa: Lion King premiere.

Milian, 43, was a guest on Sherri Shepherd's show, Sherri, on Tuesday, where she was asked about her thoughts on Blue Ivy's outfit at last night's event, after some called the 12-year-old's gown 'inappropriate.'

Blue Ivy wore a strapless gold dress with a long train for the premiere. While on the red carpet she was joined by her superstar mom, 43, and her father Jay-Z, 55, just a day after he was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in a shock civil lawsuit.

'First of all, she looks gorgeous. I think the fact that anybody has anything to say about someone else's daughter, any minor, I think just mind your business,' Milian said of Blue Ivy's look.

'She's talented, she toured the world with her mom, like there's nothing you can say. You can't dim that shine,' the Disney star went on.

Sherri then said that Blue acted 'so poised' with Milian agreeing. 'Let that baby glow!' she added.

Milian — who was once a host of the Disney Channel series Movie Surfers and also performed the theme song Call Me, Beep Me!, for the Disney Channel animated series Kim Possible in 2002 — and Shepherd both agreed that Blue Ivy was not doing 'too much' and was not 'being extra.'

The pop star's eldest child wore a metallic Christian Siriano ballgown as she posed with her parents on the red carpet.

The dress featured a sweetheart neckline and a draped bodice. Her brunette tresses were styled in braids with loose curls.

For her glamorous look, Blue Ivy chose gold eyeshadow, rosy blush, and a glossy red lip.

The talented youngster is set to make her feature film debut in Mufasa: The Lion King and joined her parents and grandmother Tina Knowles to promote the film at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Beyonce matched her daughter, wearing a strapless black Balmain gown studded with metallic gold discs.

Following the appearance, a number of critics expressed disapproval of Blue Ivy's 'inappropriate' outfit.

'Lots of chatter online that Blue Ivy’s dress is inappropriate…which I didn’t get until I read that she is TWELVE YEARS OLD! How about we don’t put a 12 year old in a push up bra,' one wrote.

'Blue Ivy looks beautiful but honestly I thought "wow she's like 16 already?" No, turns out she's 12. Let a girl dress like she's 12 please.'

'Blue Ivy is 12. This dress and makeup at 12 ??' another questioned.

'Blue ivy looks very pretty but she is 12, totally inappropriate dress.'

'Blue Ivy is a beautiful little girl- but SHE’S A LITTLE GIRL made to look much older than any 12 years old. It’s just far too mature of a dress. The fact that she has her cleavage on display is disturbing. When you realize that this young girl is only 12 it just makes it worse.'

Another comment read: 'Blue ivy wearing that dress and makeup at age 12 ….. she’s literally 12 not 18 !!!! Do her stylist or her mom’s stylist know this ?'

However others disagreed, calling the dress 'beautiful.'

'Y'all need to leave Blue Ivy alone. She's 12. Her dress is beautiful. Worry about the kids being displayed on beauty pageant stages... Like, be so for real.'

'Please STOP projecting weirdness on to children. It was Blue Ivy’s movie premiere night. She was with her family and bodyguards. She wore a beautiful dress that looked like a modern day princess. She color coordinated with her Mom! At age 12 other teens received praise.'

Gushing over her daughter's achievements, Beyonce wrote on Instagram: 'My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night. You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.'

Blue Ivy provides the voice for the Kiara character in the Disney film, which arrives in theaters December 20.

In recent years, Blue has gravitated toward the spotlight commanded by her famous parents, joining her mother onstage during her tour last year.

In a GQ interview published this past September, Beyonce said that her daughter worked hard to prove to her she deserved a spot on the stage during the tour.

'She's a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage,' the singer said. 'Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it.'

'And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.'

Beyonce said that accommodations had to be made with Blue Ivy's school to streamline her academic schedule to the five-month, 56-show trek, noting that her eldest child has demonstrated talent in multiple areas.

'Blue is an artist,' she added. 'She has great taste in music and fashion. She is a fantastic editor, painter, and actress. She has been creating characters since she was three.'

In the GQ interview, Beyonce specifically mentioned that she wanted to keep her children's upbringings as normal as possible amid the family's rare level of fame and wealth.

'One thing I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, ensuring my personal life isn’t turned into a brand,' she said. 'It’s very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art.

'I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family. No amount of money is worth my peace.'

The family's appearance came as a surprise amid allegations against Jay-Z, as The Hollywood Reporter noted that Beyonce, the hip hop star, and Blue Ivy had not been 'previously announced to press as attending the event, despite their involvement.'

Yet the trio looked happy and smiled on the red carpet after the 99 Problems rapper issued a denial to the claims that he raped a 13-year-old girl along with Sean 'Diddy' Combs, 55, back in 2000.

Jay-Z said in a response issued to Dailymail.com Sunday that he is the victim of a 'blackmail attempt' and fears his three children with Beyonce will have to 'endure' harassment in the wake of the shocking allegations.

The rapper added that is especially worried about Blue Ivy. He is afraid she will face questions from her friends about the lawsuit. He and Beyonce also share twins Rumi and Sir, seven.

'My only heartbreak is for my family,' Jay-Z said. 'My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.'

Jay-Z's accuser, who identifies herself as Jane Doe in the legal documents reviewed by Dailymail.com, says she was assaulted at a party after the award show, which took place September 7, 2000 at New York City's Radio City Music Hall.

The lawsuit had initially been filed in New York's Southern District this past October against Combs, with a refiling on Sunday that identified the rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter.

In his statement denying the claims, Jay-Z said: 'My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a “lawyer” named Tony Buzbee.'

'What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!' the statement read.

'These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?'

'These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case. This lawyer, who I have done a bit of research on, seems to have a pattern of these type of theatrics!'

Jay-Z wrapped up his statement in saying, 'Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable. I look forward to showing you just how different I am.'

The statement was initially sent to Dailymail.com then published on the Instagram account for Jay-Z's Roc Nation label.
