Home and Away teen Hunter King will find his past coming back to haunt him when his grandmother turns up in an upcoming storyline.

The drama unfolds when Peggy turns up in Summer Bay and threatens to expose secrets from Hunter's criminal past.

High on Peggy's agenda is the robbery her grandson was responsible for in 2015 – leaving Hunter to fear that he could be facing a jail sentence.

Viewers will know that Hunter's thieving actions upon arriving in the Bay actually led to the shock death of Denny Miller, when Charlotte killed her amid a fight over the safe that got out of hand.

Whether Peggy knows about this remains to be seen, but she does know that Hunter's antics resulted in Marilyn Chambers being electrocuted, admitting that Charlotte revealed all during an emotional phone conversation.

Peggy's presence will leave Hunter terrified that the game could finally be up, in a tragic twist of irony given that he's finally managed to turn his life around.

Hunter's worst fears appear to be confirmed when the police come knocking. Has Peggy really reported her grandson to the police? And what will it mean for Hunter if she has?

"Hunter's past is coming back to haunt him," actor Scott Lee told TV Week while discussing his character's upcoming storyline.

"It's a shame as he's turned into a bit of a sweetheart. The fact that Peggy knows what Hunter did scares him. He might end up in jail."

It was confirmed last December that Scott would be bowing out out of his role as Hunter at some point this year, but details of his exit story are currently under wraps.

Home and Away airs on weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
