Britain's Got Talent star Alice Fredenham has spoken to Digital Spy about her failed audition for The Voice UK, and how she thinks Simon Cowell will react to her having tried out for the rival show.

The former beauty therapist overcame crippling nerves to wow the judges with her rendition of 'My Funny Valentine' on Saturday's (April 13) series seven premiere.

However, prior to auditioning for Britain's Got Talent, Fredenham failed to get the likes of Jessie J and will.i.am to turn around at the Blind Auditions of The Voice, an experience that she admitted was "quite disheartening".

By contrast, Fredenham has been "completely astounded" by the overwhelming positive reaction to her BGT audition, though the thought of performing to large audiences has been "sending [her] into a sweat".

Britain's Got Talent continues April 20 at 8pm on ITV.
